Chris Brown - General Manager
Chris Brown is a PGA member and veteran in the golf industry with nearly a decade at the world renowned Turnberry Resort in Scotland host to the 2009 Open Championships. In addition, Chris has served as an editorial advisor for golf instruction to Today’s Golfer and PGA magazines for the last few years, and was nominated as one of Europe’s Top 25 Golf Instructors in 2007.
Clinton Southorn - Agronomy Superintendent
Clinton Southorn completed his Horticulture certificates in Australia. His professional career with Troon Golf started in
2002, at Brookewater Golf Course in Brisbane, Australia. During his ten year relationship with Troon Golf, Clinton has
been a Superintendant for 7 years and has worked in 6 different countries. One of the more notable positions in this
region is the Construction Superintendant for 2 years at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. Clinton has been the Agronomy
Superintendant at The Els Club since December 2010
Ben Griffiths -Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Ben started his career at Ashbury Golf Hotel in Devon, where he gained valuable experience working at one of the biggest golf complexes in Europe. While he was there he gained his National Vocational qualification level 2 in amenity horticulture & sports turf at Duchy College, Cornwall. Ben then moved on to The Grove in Hertfordshire where he spent 6 years, The Grove is Troon Golf’s flagship course for Europe and is very highly regarded in Troon Golf Worldwide. Ben gained his National Vocational Qualification level 3 in amenity horticulture & sports turf at Oakland’s college, St Albans. He spent the last 3 years as the Irrigation Technician/First Assistant where he was responsible for the Irrigation system as well as organizing, training and developing the team. Outside of work Ben enjoys Cricket and golf.
